Visit
to Tayyabia Orphanage, Pune
The
department of chemistry organized a visit to Tayyabia Orphanage Trust, East Street,
Camp on 28th September 2014.
Staff
members asked the authorities for the permission and the requirements and needs
of the children staying in the orphanage. Accordingly, 120 sets of stationary
materials which included pen, pencil, rubber, compass box were bought. In
addition 30 pairs of school shoes were also bought for the students of Std. I
and Std. II. Packets of snacks and
sweets were given to all the hostel inmates.
The
staff members generously contributed towards the cause and generated Rs.
12000/- The staff members along with the H.O.D. Dr. Khursheed Ahmed, Chemistry
students, & non teaching staff visited the orphanage.
Dr.
Khursheed Ahmed talked to the children and inspired them to study hard and
achieve their future goals. The Principle of the Tayyabia Orphanage Mr. Abdul
Wahid had interacted with all of us & appreciated this work on behalf of
Tayyabia Orphanage Trust, & requested to visit again in future.
