Saturday, 6th January, 2018 at 10.00 am, Abeda Inamdar Senior
College organized a programme on “Anti-superstition Drive” at the Assembly Hall
Azam Campus, Pune. Nearly 300 staff
members from FIVE institutions of
Azam Campus attended the programme. Ms. Nandini Jadhav (President of
Maharashtra Andh Shraddha Nirmulan Samitte) and Mr. Milind Deshmukh (Secretary,
Maharashtra Andh Shraddha Nirmulan Samitte) were the main guest speakers of the
programme. Dr. P. A. Inamdar (President, MCE Society) graced the function and
motivated the staff members to learn the hidden tricks and chemistry behind
superstitions. He wanted an active participation of the staff members and
students in the movement to eradicate the superstitions spread among people in
association with Maharshtra Andha Shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANIS).
Nandini
Jadhav and Milind Deshmukh were featured speaker, performing various experiments
related to superstition and revealed the facts to the audience that how
impersonator’s (Hypocrite Baba’s or Fraud Baba’s) fraud the peoples. Total ten experiments
were performed by Nandini Jadhav and Milind Deshmukh. Nandini. Nandidni madam
also shared her views about the work she is doing to eradicate the wrong
believes of people or on superstitions. To motivate the participants, she also
told about her joining of this movement and the MANS and how she left her jobs.
Milind Deshmukh sir challenged the audience and impersonator’s that he will
award 21 Lac rupees if someone shows the real magic without any tricks.
After
all the tricks revealed to audience with the help of chemical reactions behind
the superstitions, the programme ended with a very inspirational speech of Dr.
P.A Inamdar, who remarked, “I feel that superstition will kill the society like
a virus”. He announced that a competition on tricks and chemistry behind anti-superstition
will be held after a 03 months and 2-3 training programme on the subject. He
also mentioned that three prizes of 1 Rs. lac, 75K, 50K to 1st , 2nd
and 3rd rank holders respectively together with increment to all the
staff who joins the competition. He offered a full time payment and incentives to
those who will devote and work hard for this movement of eradication of
superstition from the society. With all the tricks played by the members of
MANIS the motivations from the President’s captivating words in the Assembly
hall, made a truly day to remember.
