Science Exhibition 2011

Science exhibition was organized on 27th December 2011. Prof. Arvind Anant Natu, Visiting Faculty, Chemistry visited the Abeda Inamdar Senior College as the Chief Guest.

He interacted with all the student participants. The undergraduate and postgraduate students of Chemistry Department also prepared interesting exhibits. The overall experience was very interesting and they learnt many things with lots of fun.
I congratulate all the participants of Science Exhibition for making very beautiful and meaningful exhibits. Their hard work and enthusaism is really appreciable. A very good job from all of you.

So, it is one more activity before we say good bye to 2011 (or should I write IYC-2011).

International Year of Chemistry Celebrations

Dr. Shrikant Anant (Associate Director of Cancer Prevention and Control. The University of Kansas Cancer Center, USA) delivered a very exciting talk on Cancer Stem Cells. He visited AzamCampus on 22nd December 2011. His lecture was organized by department of Chemistry under ISTRA.

The Postgraduate students and staff menmbers from Departemtn of Chemistry and Microbiology and undergraduate students (Vocaitonal Biotechnology) attended the lecture. The session was very interactive and ISTRA looks forward for future collaboratve work with Dr. Shrikant Anant.

International Year of Chemistry Celebrations

Dear all,

We are at the end of the year 2011. This year has been marked as the International Year of Chemistry by UN. Our postgraduate Demartment of Chemistry at abeda Inamdar Senior College, has organized many activities in celebration of IYC-2011. Recently we organized two lectures by prominent personalities.

On 15th December 2011, Professor T. Aminabhavi, CSIR Emiretus Scientist, SETs College of Pharmacy, Dharwad delivered a talk on Biodegradable Polymers in Control Drug Delivery.

He visited Azam Campus on invitation by Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Research Academy and signed MOUs with Chemistry Department and Allana College of Pharmacy.
